Leveling Up Learning: Gamification in Engineering Education

Summary: The gamification of education has been gaining momentum in recent years as a way to increase student engagement and motivation in the learning process. This presentation series will explore the use of gamification in education, specifically in the context of engineering students. We will examine the principles of gamification, the benefits and challenges of incorporating gamification in education, and the various gamification techniques that have been successfully applied to engineering education. Additionally, we will discuss the impact of gamification on student learning outcomes, as well as how gamification can be used to foster collaboration and teamwork among engineering students. Ultimately, the goal of this presentation series is to provide engineering educators with practical strategies for incorporating gamification into their classrooms to enhance student engagement, motivation, and learning.
